Brilliasia: 14-year-old hospitalised with ruptured kidney following attack by peer
A minor was subjected to a severe beating by a classmate in Brilliasia and is hospitalised in a serious condition. The perpetrator was arrested and is expected to be brought before an emergency magistrate.
Beating in Brilliasia: 14-year-old at risk of losing kidney
A 14-year-old is hospitalised in a serious condition in a private hospital in the northern suburbs, following an attack he suffered from a peer on Friday evening (18/9) in Brilliasia, according to ERTnews.
The perpetrator allegedly struck his classmate with punches and kicks, causing a ruptured kidney. The victim was transported by ambulance to hospital, where doctors estimate that there is a risk of permanent loss of the kidney.
The injured boy's father filed a complaint with police on Saturday morning (19/9). Officers from Brilliasia Security arrested the 14-year-old perpetrator outside his home, along with his mother.
The mother was released following a prosecutorial order, whilst the minor remains in custody and is expected to be brought before an emergency magistrate on Sunday.
According to ERTnews information, the 14-year-old perpetrator admitted to his actions and expressed remorse, asking for forgiveness from both his classmate and his parents.
