A 39-year-old drug trafficker was arrested as he attempted to leave Mykonos by ship. Police found over 1.4 kilograms of cannabis in his possession, with expected proceeds exceeding €17,000.
Drug trafficker arrested whilst attempting to flee Mykonos
A 39-year-old man was arrested at Mykonos harbour as he attempted to board a ship bound for Piraeus. The arrested man is suspected of involvement in drug trafficking on the island.
Police seized over 1.4 kilograms of cannabis found in his possession, which according to authorities' estimates would have generated proceeds exceeding €17,000.
The arrest was carried out by officers from the Cyclades Police Directorate, who had received information about the individual's activities. The 39-year-old was brought before the magistrate of the District Court of Syros.
