New findings have emerged regarding the double homicide in Longo, Aigio, where a 26-year-old man and his 54-year-old mother lost their lives.
A close acquaintance of the young victim spoke to a television network. She reported that Olympios had made contact with her in late May. He had confided to her his concern about his mother's mental health. The woman was facing serious problems and had become isolated. The young man had also told her that his mother had an alcohol addiction and serious heart disease.
According to the same person, the 26-year-old had devoted himself entirely to caring for his mother. He had neglected his own life. He did not consider the Italian partner of his mother as a paternal figure.
The 65-year-old Italian remains the primary suspect. He claims that his partner killed her son and subsequently committed suicide. However, the findings do not support this version. His toxicological tests revealed sleeping pills and traces of cannabis in his system.
Cameras did not record any third person entering the house. No DNA or fingerprints of the Italian have been found at the scene. The investigation continues.
