Dead infant with ten stab wounds — three arrested before investigating magistrate
Google News GR — Crime (el) is reporting new details in the case of a dead infant discovered in a suitcase inside a flat in Kipseli. Forensic examination confirms murder: the baby bore at least ten stab wounds, some of which penetrated critical vital organs.
The 43-year-old Greek man arrested is reported to have told authorities that the infant "was not his". "The Illuminati switched it for us at the maternity clinic, they gave us another one, a satanic one, and once it died our house became peaceful," he reportedly stated. So far he has not confessed, nor has he explicitly stated that he himself killed the child.
Arrests were made of all three residents of the flat: the 43-year-old Greek man, his 38-year-old German partner, and a 26-year-old Afghan. The prosecutor brought criminal charges at felony level for drug trafficking, as well as at misdemeanour level for failure to report the discovery of a dead body.
Drugs and objects in the flat
The location yielded 3.8 grams of cannabis, 14.3 grams of methamphetamine, 53.2 grams of cannabis in chocolate form, and two ecstasy tablets. Objects of a sexual nature, cameras, and a laptop were also found.
The time of the infant's death cannot be determined with precision, as the body had been placed in a freezer. Forensic examination revealed no pre-existing health problems in the child.
How the case came to light
The case came to light through the accommodation manager, which the residents had booked through Airbnb. "There were complaints from the manager that they were making noise," he stated. A representative from the company visited the flat, found it in "appalling condition" but initially found nothing specific. "There was a suspicion about drugs, because there were some broken pills in the kitchen," the manager added.
Questions also arose about the children in the flat. "It didn't make sense, because one of the little ones seemed as though it wasn't theirs," said the manager, explaining that the residents "locked themselves inside" until police arrived.
With the intention of getting the 43-year-old to return, who was absent at that time, the company retained the suitcases as "collateral". He returned shortly afterwards and happened to encounter police from DIAS who were at the scene. The case then began to unravel.
