Murder with eight shots in Glyfada – Investigation into criminal connections

Police collected eight cartridge casings from the corner of Karamanli and Panagouli streets in Glyfada, according to In.gr, where a dead man aged 50 to 60 was found in a desolate spot on the perimeter of the Elliniko construction site.
Shortly after 1:00 a.m., a resident saw the man bloodied on the road, beside a motorcycle, and notified the Immediate Action service reporting a traffic incident. When police arrived in the area, near Glyfada golf club, they established that the man had sustained at least one gunshot wound to the head and several to the body.
A team from the forensic department attended the scene to collect evidence, as did a coroner. The authorities have launched a manhunt for the perpetrator or perpetrators.
The preliminary investigation was taken over by the Organised Crime Confrontation Directorate. All scenarios are being examined, including the possibility of a settling of accounts.
According to information, the victim worked in nightclubs and is reported to have had a criminal record. He is also reported to have maintained close relations with a known figure from the nightlife scene, who has already been murdered. Investigators are also examining whether the victim had any connection to or active role in a criminal organisation.
