Dead from gunshot to the head at the Karamanli-Panagouli intersection
According to Newsit.gr, the man's body was found shortly after 01:00 on Saturday morning (10.10.26) at the point where Karamanli Avenue and Panagouli Street meet, near the Glyfada golf course area. The victim sustained fatal injuries to the body and had been shot in the head. Police officers recovered eight cartridge cases from the scene.
The man, known by the initials N.G., was an organised Panathinaikos supporter and is said to have worked as security at a nightclub.
His criminal record was extensive. In 2015 he had been arrested for involvement in a criminal organisation that was active at night. In 2018, at the OAKA stadium, he shot and wounded another Panathinaikos supporter. In a separate incident, he had also shot a supporter of the same team outside a club on Alexandras Avenue — a case for which a file was opened and he was arrested in 2022. In 2024 he had been arrested again, this time for domestic violence.
In the period leading up to his murder, N.G. had been free on restrictive conditions. Police are conducting investigations to determine the circumstances and perpetrators of the murder.
