Accused in fatal attack on Nestor family seek adjournment for statement

According to In.gr, the two accused in the fatal petrol bomb attack on the Nestor family home in Thessaloniki were brought before the investigating magistrate — an attack in which Vagia Nestor, mother of New Democracy politician Aphrodite Nestor, lost her life.

The two remanded in custody — a 29-year-old man and a 26-year-old woman — were called to give supplementary statements as part of an upgrade to their criminal assessment, which is linked to terrorism legislation. Both requested — and were granted — an adjournment for the coming days.

The same action was taken yesterday by their two other co-accused, who also appeared before the investigating magistrate handling the case file.

In the morning, a demonstration of support for the accused took place outside the Thessaloniki Court House, attended by individuals from the anti-authoritarian movement.

The case file includes charges of manslaughter with possible intent, participation in a terrorist organisation, explosion, possession of explosive materials, and arson.
