Two arrested for drug trafficking in Attica areas
Officers from the Narcotics Division proceeded to arrest two individuals implicated in a network dealing in psychotropic substances across various areas of the capital and its suburbs.
The arrests took place on the evening of 23 June at two different locations. In Porto Rafti and Chalandri, rapid response units carried out coordinated raids, resulting in the detention of a 38-year-old and a 45-year-old.
The investigation revealed that the two men had organised a group with a specific hierarchy. The younger of the two is alleged to have held the role of leader. He was responsible for obtaining the substances from a supplier and subsequently distributing them to other associates. At the same time, he collected money from the illegal transactions.
During searches carried out at the homes of those arrested, authorities discovered and seized quantities of drugs. A motorcycle was also confiscated, which according to police was used as a means for transporting and distributing the substances.
Criminal charges were brought against them for criminal organisation and violations of the law concerning narcotic substances. The two men were brought before the Prosecutor.
