Two arrests for drugs in Hierapetra – cannabis package from Thessaloniki
Two young men, aged 19 and 20, were arrested in Hierapetra, Lasithi, for cannabis trafficking. The package containing 240 grams had been detected at a courier company in Thessaloniki.
Arrests in Hierapetra for cannabis shipment via courier service
Two young men were arrested in Hierapetra, Lasithi, on drug charges, according to real.gr. The case began with a coordinated operation by the Drugs Prosecution Department of the Anti-Organised Crime Directorate for Northern Greece, which located a package containing 240 grams of raw cannabis in a storage facility of a courier company in Thessaloniki.
Police officers carried out a controlled delivery of the package. During this operation, the 19-year-old was found attempting to collect it from a courier company locker and was arrested in flagrante delicto. The 20-year-old had received the package collection code on his mobile telephone.
During searches of the two arrested men's residences, €245 was discovered at the home of the 19-year-old, which is believed to originate from illegal activities. The mobile telephones of both individuals involved were also seized.
The preliminary investigation is being conducted by the Crime Prosecution and Investigation Department of Hierapetra.
