Criminal gang in Chalkidiki: robberies and thefts with haul exceeding €36,000
Three Albanian nationals are accused of armed robberies and thefts in Chalkidiki, Pella, Larissa and Thessaloniki. A 31-year-old was arrested and referred to an examining magistrate.

Arrest of gang member who operated in four regions
Police investigation revealed, according to kathimerini.gr, the criminal activity of a group that carried out armed robberies and thefts in Chalkidiki, Pella, Larissa and Thessaloniki.
Three Albanian nationals, aged 31, 32 and 33, are accused of being members of the group. Police from the Department for the Investigation and Detection of Crimes in Polygyros arrested the first suspect.
According to the investigation findings, from 27 May to 12 June 2026, the individuals involved carried out — in different compositions — two armed robberies at shops in Chalkidiki and Pella, stealing €5,600 and a mobile telephone.
During the same period, they are alleged to have committed ten thefts and one attempted theft from residences in Chalkidiki, with a total haul of €5,000, jewellery and other items. Additionally, a theft was recorded from a house in Larissa with a haul of €26,000, as well as a break-in in Thessaloniki from which car keys were stolen and subsequently the vehicle itself.
The arrested suspect was located driving the stolen vehicle in an area of Thessaloniki. The car was returned to its lawful owner.
The 31-year-old defendant was brought before the prosecutor of the District Court of Chalkidiki and referred to appear before an examining magistrate. The authorities' investigation is continuing in order to establish any possible involvement of the group in other criminal acts.
