An improvised explosive device detonated in the early morning at a vehicle rental office on Acharnon Street in Patisia. The incident occurred shortly before 5:00 a.m. and caused material damage to a shop window, an apartment building entrance and a parked vehicle.
The force of the explosion created a small crater on the pavement. Police officers who arrived at the scene found a bag containing explosive material and a slow-burning fuse.
The Organised Crime Confrontation Division and the Extortion Prosecution Department are investigating the motives behind the attack.
