In the night from Sunday to Monday, a bomb exploded at a vehicle rental office operating on Acharnes Street 338, at the junction with Nirvana.

The explosion occurred around 04:50. The force of the blast caused considerable material damage to the shop, as windows and shop fronts were destroyed. Additionally, at least two motor vehicles located near the scene suffered damage.

Police units arrived immediately at the scene. Officers from the Security Service are conducting an investigation to identify the motives and perpetrators.

The Organised Crime Prosecution Directorate (DAOE), through its Extortionists Prosecution Section, has taken on the preliminary investigation. Officers are examining all possible scenarios that could have led to the placement of the explosive device.
