Execution of 52-year-old man with criminal past in Glyfada – shot in the back while driving
A 52-year-old man known as "Parrot" was murdered in the early hours of Sunday in Glyfada. The perpetrators shot him in the back whilst he was driving his motorcycle.

According to Newsit.gr, increasingly more details are coming to light regarding the murder that took place in the early hours of Sunday, 11 October 2026 in Glyfada. The victim was a 52-year-old man with a significant criminal record, known by the nickname "Parrot", with involvement in cases of extortion and fan-related violence.
The man left his home shortly after midnight on Saturday and got onto his motorcycle. At that moment he was executed whilst in motion. The perpetrators are believed to have studied his every move, setting up an ambush before the attack.
The murder was carried out with a 9mm pistol. Five or six bullets struck him in the back and one in the head. The 52-year-old succumbed next to a construction site. He was not carrying any weapon at the time of the execution. The shots in the back are explained by the fact that the victim was in motion on the motorcycle.
N.G. was connected to the criminal organisation of G. Moschoúris, known as "Thamnakia", who was murdered by Russian-speaking hitmen on orders from the Russian-speaking mafia of Édik, in Chalandri in April 2025, outside a private clinic. "Parrot" himself had been arrested in 2015 as a member of that particular criminal group and frequented two well-known nightlife venues in the Coastal area.
His criminal record spans many years. In 2018, at the OAKA stadium, he had shot and wounded another Panathinaikos fan—a team of which he was an organised supporter. In another incident he had shot another supporter of the same team outside a supporters' club on Leoforos Alexandras, an event that led to his arrest in 2022. His most recent involvement with the law was in 2024, for domestic violence, and he was released on conditional terms.
The authorities believe that the manner of execution points to a mafia-style settling of scores. The investigations are focusing mainly in that direction, as it appears that the 52-year-old had disputes with rival gangs and with members of the Albanian Mafia.
