Greek authorities have arrested three people suspected of responsibility for an attack on the home of conservative politician Nestor in Thessaloniki, where her 72-year-old mother lost her life.

Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis announced to Parliament that authorities have fulfilled their promise to locate and arrest those responsible for the attack on the home of conservative politician Nestor, according to Jauns.lv.
The attack took place early in the morning of 1 July in Thessaloniki. Cars were set on fire in the garage of the apartment building. The 72-year-old mother of the politician from the ruling party "New Democracy" sustained fatal burns. Four additional people were injured.
After ten days, police arrested three people — one woman and two men. All of them had previously come to the attention of law enforcement.
In recent decades, Greece has been shaken many times by politically motivated violence. Although previous terrorist organisations have been largely dismantled, autonomous groups continue to carry out arson attacks and explosions, targeting politicians, state services, police stations, banks and businesses.
