Three arson attacks in the early hours in Thessaloniki resulted in five injured and material damage. Targets were homes of New Democracy officials.

Arson attacks on homes of New Democracy politicians in Thessaloniki
Five people were injured in the early hours of Wednesday in Thessaloniki following three separate attacks with incendiary devices on properties belonging to individuals affiliated with New Democracy.
The most severe attack occurred around 04:00 in an apartment building in Harilao. There, an explosive device destroyed two vehicles and caused damage to the entrance of the building. MP Aphrodite Nestora, who owned one of the vehicles, sustained burns. Her mother is hospitalised in intensive care with serious burns, whilst her father and two other residents were taken to hospital with respiratory problems.
In Toumba, on Perraiou Street, unknown assailants set fire to the car of former MP Savvas Anastasiades. The vehicle was completely destroyed.
At 04:18, in Pylea, flammable material was found in an apartment building that was previously inhabited by Zisis Iokimoglou, chairman of the New Democracy Administrative Committee in Thessaloniki. No damage was caused.
The Counter-Terrorism Service is investigating whether the three incidents are connected. All targets belong to the same political party.
