Arson attacks: 151 arrests since 2024 – Greek Police: Systematic investigation into perpetrators
The Greek Police has announced that since 2024 there have been 151 arrests for arson attacks, whilst systematic investigation is being conducted to identify those responsible.

Since 2024 to date, the police authorities have proceeded to arrest 151 individuals involved in arson attacks. At the same time, 191 case files have been compiled concerning corresponding incidents.
The Greek Police, through its specialised units handling cases of racist and extremist violence, is dealing systematically with each new incident. Officers utilise both evidence arising from each case and material from previous case files, when this is deemed operationally useful.
Statistical analysis from recent years shows that in the Attica region 78 cases were recorded in 2024, 72 in 2025 and 41 during the current year. The approach being followed is strictly methodical, with the aim of fully clarifying each incident and bringing those responsible before the courts.
