At least five people were injured in Thessaloniki, Greece when incendiary Molotov devices were placed outside three separate buildings where politicians from the ruling party New Democracy reside.

Firebomb attacks against politicians in Thessaloniki – at least five injured

At least five people were injured in the early hours of Wednesday in Thessaloniki following firebomb attacks with Molotov cocktails on three separate residential buildings. Politicians from the ruling party New Democracy reside at all of the addresses, according to the newspaper Kathimerini.

The attacks took place within a time span of just seventeen minutes. The perpetrators, who were moving on motorcycles, placed incendiary devices outside the buildings.

In photographs published by the newspaper, burnt building façades and vehicles are visible. The five injured resulted from the third and final attack.

Police are investigating the case, and no arrests have been made so far.
