Nine minors, aged 14 to 17 years old, have been arrested for involvement in a criminal group that operated at metro stations and buses, robbing elderly people. Authorities estimate that they had committed at least 12 thefts and robberies.

According to police, the minors had organised a specific method of operation. They approached elderly people at ISAP stations and on buses, snatched their bags and fled. In many cases, the perpetrators used violence against their victims.

An investigation by Attica Security led to the identification and arrest of the nine minors. During searches conducted at their homes, money, mobile phones and other items that they had taken from their victims were found and seized.

The arrested individuals were taken to the competent prosecutor, while the investigation continues to identify any possible accomplices.
