A 75-year-old attacked a 65-year-old colleague with an axe on a construction site in Glyfada, injuring him in the neck, ribs and abdomen. The perpetrator was arrested by the DIAS unit.

A serious incident occurred on Monday afternoon at a construction site on Genimata Street in Glyfada, when a 75-year-old attacked a 65-year-old with an axe, a man with whom he worked at the same construction site. The incident was recorded at approximately 14:30, according to Dikastiko.gr.
According to the Hellenic Police, the attack was preceded by an intense confrontation between the two men concerning financial disagreements. During the dispute, the 75-year-old allegedly turned against the 65-year-old using an axe.
The wounded man suffered blows to the neck, ribs and abdomen. He was transported to the Red Cross hospital, where he is hospitalised out of danger.
Police officers from the DIAS unit rushed to the scene and arrested the 75-year-old. The preliminary investigation into the circumstances of the incident has been undertaken by the competent police authority.
