A 72-year-old man is being treated at a Heraklion hospital following an attack allegedly inflicted by his 32-year-old son, according to reports from Dikastiko.gr. The incident occurred around 10 p.m. inside the younger man's home.
According to information, the 32-year-old called his father to his residence without initially revealing the purpose of the visit. When the elderly man realised that his son was asking for money to buy drugs, he refused to give it to him.
The 32-year-old, who was allegedly under the influence of substances, then attacked his father and struck him on the head. The 72-year-old fell to the floor injured and was taken to hospital.
The police authorities and the Domestic Violence Office were notified of the incident. Police officers who rushed to the scene proceeded to arrest the 32-year-old.
