Gang of minors dismantled in Thessaloniki for thefts and burglaries
Four minors have been identified by police officers from the Crime Investigation and Detection Unit of Chalcedon as members of a group involved in multiple thefts and burglaries. Their identification resulted from an evaluation of pre-investigation material and a thorough investigation by the prosecution authorities.
According to reporting from ERTnews, the young offenders are believed to have been active between 13 and 15 May 2026 in the wider region of Thessaloniki, Imathia and Kilkis. The authorities attribute to them five theft cases, including the removal of a lorry, as well as four burglaries of commercial shops in Koufalia.
During their criminal activity, the minors obtained cash, various products and objects. A case file was opened against them for criminal organisation, distinguished thefts, theft of a motor vehicle and damage to others' property.
It is noted that members of the gang had escaped from a juvenile facility where they were being held for previous criminal offences prosecuted under criminal law, while relevant court decisions against them were pending. The case file that was opened will be submitted to the Public Prosecutor's Office of the First Instance Court of Thessaloniki.
