Seven members of a criminal gang were arrested for systematic thefts from lorries in the Aspropyrgos, Eleusis and Mandra areas.

Police officers from the Western Attica Security Division dismantled a criminal gang that specialised in break-ins to parked lorries. As part of the operation, seven people were arrested, including a 15-year-old minor.

The perpetrators operated mainly in the areas of Aspropyrgos, Eleusis and Mandra, targeting vehicles that remained stationary at parking spots. From the investigation carried out, it was established that the gang had committed a total of 47 thefts.

The loot obtained was calculated at €85,000. The stolen items included various goods and equipment that the lorries were transporting.

The arrested individuals were brought before the prosecuting authorities to be questioned about their actions. The police investigation is continuing to determine whether the gang had been involved in other illegal activities.
