Two arrested in Marfin case charged with premeditated multiple homicides
The two men aged 42 who were arrested in connection with the attack on Marfin Egnatia Bank in 2010 are charged with premeditated multiple homicides. On Tuesday morning they are expected to be brought before the examining magistrate in order to give explanations.
The arrested men were transferred to the courts of the former Evelpidon school under escort by armed police officers. One of the two had his facial features covered, whilst both wore handcuffs during their transfer.
According to reports, the authorities are still searching for another woman aged 46, for whom an international arrest warrant has been issued. This particular woman is reportedly residing abroad.
The case concerns the arson attack that took place on 5 May 2010, during demonstrations in Athens, resulting in the death of three bank employees.
