Two men were arrested in Kavala—a 24-year-old from Bahrain and a 59-year-old Greek national—for possession and trafficking of narcotics. The young man had purchased the cannabis from the Greek man's establishment.

A 24-year-old foreign national, a citizen of Bahrain, was arrested at the port of Kavala when, during a check before boarding a ship for Thassos, port authorities found a small quantity of dried cannabis flowers in his possession.
The investigation that followed showed that the young man had obtained the illegal substance from a catering establishment in the area. The owner of the shop, a 59-year-old Greek national, was also arrested. At the man's home, following a search authorised by the prosecutor's office, significant quantities of cannabis and a digital scale were discovered.
The confiscated items include hundreds of grammes of dried flowers, improvised cannabis cigarettes, as well as vaping liquids containing cannabis oil. The narcotics will be sent for laboratory testing.
