Two men have been arrested for internet posts that incited violent acts against a police officer, following a fatal traffic accident in Kallithea.

Two individuals have been apprehended by prosecuting authorities and are accused of inciting attacks against a police officer through online posts, according to a statement from the Hellenic Police.
The investigation began following a complaint filed by five internet users. According to the complaint, the two men published modified personal details of the police officer, accompanied by defamatory and offensive content. Their posts falsely linked the officer to a fatal traffic accident that had occurred on the night of Thursday, 4 June in Kallithea, with the result of encouraging violent acts against him.
From the police and digital investigation that followed, it emerged that the two arrested individuals managed two of the five social media accounts from which the material was circulated. During the operation, two mobile phones were found and seized, which were sent to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations for laboratory examination.
The two men were brought before the prosecuting authority. The charges brought against them include incitement to commit crimes, acts of violence or discord, threats, insults, defamatory libel, and violation of the legislation on the protection of personal data, via the internet.
