Café in Peristeri used as cocaine distribution base – two arrests
A 33-year-old café owner in Peristeri was arrested for drug trafficking. Police seized 207 grammes of crack cocaine, firearms and counterfeit banknotes.

According to Newsit.gr, a 33-year-old café owner in Peristeri was using his premises as a "base" for distributing drugs in the area. A 39-year-old distributor who worked at the same establishment was also arrested.
The case began with complaints investigated by the Aspropyrgo Criminal Investigation and Detection Division. The investigation targeted a person suspected of distributing drugs using a food-business premises as a base, and ultimately led to the 33-year-old.
During searches at his home and café, police seized 207 grammes of crack cocaine, 12 grammes of raw cannabis and two electronic precision scales.
A pistol with a magazine, two air pistols, a large number of nylon packaging materials, four counterfeit banknotes and €1,372 in cash were also found.
The 39-year-old distributor was arrested during the operation after a small quantity of raw cannabis was found in his possession.
A file was opened against the 33-year-old for breaches of legislation on narcotic substances and weapons, as well as for circulating counterfeit banknotes. Both detainees were taken before the competent prosecutor.
