An alert has been raised in the police services of Chania following the report of a missing 44-year-old woman, according to information conveyed by NewsIT.
The disappearance was reported on Monday, 8 June 2026 by her brother, who attempted repeatedly to contact her by telephone without success. Her phone was switched off. The woman was living in the Varypetro area in Chania.
Her traces had been lost already since the end of May, as reported by zarpanews. Authorities have conducted intensive searches to locate her, while all possible lines of inquiry that could lead to clarification of the case are being investigated.
