Three juvenile offenders identified during police operation

On Friday afternoon, 9 October, two 16-year-olds and a 13-year-old were arrested in Kalamaria, Thessaloniki, on charges of theft and robbery against two juvenile children. The incident was reported by Dikastiko.gr, citing information from ERT.

According to details that have come to light, the three juveniles initially approached a 12-year-old. Using a distraction method, they took 20 euros from him and subsequently threatened him not to report the incident to his parents.

A few metres further on, the same trio turned on a 15-year-old. They beat him and took 12 euros from him.

Report to police and on-the-spot arrest

Both victims informed their parents about what they had suffered. The parents immediately reported the two incidents to the authorities. At the same time, police officers from Thessaloniki were already engaged in an operation aimed at addressing juvenile delinquency in the area. Thus, the three offenders were identified and arrested within a short period of time.

Juveniles before the prosecutor – investigation against parents as well

The three juveniles are expected to be brought before the prosecutor. In parallel, a case file has been opened for child neglect against their parents as well.
