New cocaine seizure in Attica – Continuation of the 'Flowers of Evil' case
The SDOE service of the Independent Authority of Public Revenue has located 26.8 kilograms of cocaine in a building under construction in Attica, revealing a new phase of the case that came to light during the 'Flowers of Evil' operation of 9 September 2026.
According to In.gr, the investigation was launched following information provided by the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) office of the American embassy in Athens. According to this information, a quantity of cocaine remained in an adjacent storage space of the residence where drugs from the same criminal network had been seized on 9/9.
A team of inspectors carried out inspections at neighbouring warehouses and buildings under construction. In the building, which was owned by the same person who rented the residence to the criminal organisation, carefully hidden inside an underground water tank and a space of the "loft" type, 26.8 kilograms of cocaine were found packaged in slabs ready for distribution, as well as a hunting survival knife with a 21 centimetre blade and bullets of various calibres.
The cocaine bore special markings identical to those found on the moulds and presses seized on 9 September — a feature that, according to the authorities, characterises the identity of this particular criminal group.
According to the authorities, the new quantity belongs to the same network and forms part of a previous illicit cocaine importation from Colombia using the same method: concealment within flower arrangements and flowers.
A file was opened against the owner of the building under construction, who resides abroad and is being sought by the authorities.
