20-year-old lost her life after using MDMA at a club in Thermi
A 20-year-old girl died in the early hours of the morning at a hospital in Thessaloniki following drug use at an entertainment venue in Thermi, according to To Vima. Her 20-year-old partner was taken into custody and referred to the prosecutor.
Electronic music party and substance of unknown origin
According to information that emerged from the preliminary investigation, the two young people were at an entertainment venue in the Thermi area, in eastern Thessaloniki, in the early hours of the morning. During an electronic music party, they obtained a quantity of MDMA from an unknown person, which they subsequently used.
After taking the substance, the 20-year-old lost consciousness. An ambulance transported her to Agios Dimitrios Hospital, where doctors were unable to save her.
Charges against the 20-year-old
The Police announced that charges have been filed against the 20-year-old partner of the victim for manslaughter through negligence, fatal exposure and violation of the law on narcotic substances. The young man was referred to the prosecutor of the Thessaloniki court of first instance.
Investigation continues for the supplier
The prosecution authorities are continuing the preliminary investigation with the aim of identifying the unknown person who sold the substance, as well as any other individuals who may be involved in the case.
