Three people were arrested in Lamia following the discovery of an extensive cannabis plantation containing more than 4,000 seedlings. The cultivation had been set up in an inaccessible area, a fact that suggests an attempt to hide it from the authorities.
According to Proto Thema, the police operation led to the dismantling of the facility and the arrest of the three suspects.
The authorities seized all the plants, which had reached an advanced stage of development. The total quantity and value of the production are estimated at significant amounts, although detailed figures have not been released to the public.
The arrested individuals were taken before the prosecutor, whilst the investigation continues to establish whether there were other members in the network, as well as the distribution routes of the illegal shipment.
