The 32-year-old accused of a knife attack against his ex-wife and her current partner in Lavrio is being taken into custody following the completion of his questioning before the investigating magistrate, according to In.gr.
During his questioning, the defendant claimed — as he had during the preliminary investigation — that he suffered from depression and that he had taken pills and alcohol before the incident.
"About a year ago I was thrown out of the house that I built with my own money. I felt betrayed. I saw for a long time another man living in my house, with my children, sleeping in my bed," he reportedly told the judicial officer, while also denying that he had gone to the location with the intention of attacking anyone.
Criminal proceedings have been brought against him for the aggravated offence of attempted murder of a spouse, not in conjunction with other offences, as well as for four misdemeanours.
