Neo-Nazi attack on 32-year-old in Eleusis — video captures entire incident
Video documentation of the bloody knife attack against a 32-year-old in Eleusis, on the afternoon of Thursday 8 October 2026, was released to the public by Newsit.gr. The two perpetrators — a 22-year-old and an 18-year-old — are believed to be members of the neo-Nazi organisation "Pro Patria".
The 22-year-old turned himself in to police on the evening of Friday 9 October and is accused of the attack. The 18-year-old, who according to evidence is the one who wielded the knife, continues to be sought.
What security cameras recorded
Shortly after 16:00, security cameras on Konstantinoupoleos Street captured the 32-year-old walking his dogs, wearing a white shirt, heading towards his home. A red car stops across from him. Immediately after, a motorbike with two passengers — one wearing a white helmet, the other with covered features — stops at the same location.
The two young men dismount and appear to address the 32-year-old. He continues walking, however the two follow him. At 16:09, they block his path for a second time. The phrase "I am a fascist" is heard.
At 16:12, the confrontation escalates into a physical scuffle. During it, a voice is heard ordering "Slit his throat", and the 32-year-old is stabbed. Shortly after, he gets up from the ground, near two bins, and walks away holding his leg, limping. The perpetrators get back on the motorbike and leave.
The 32-year-old speaks from hospital
The injured man, a gymnasium owner and known for anti-fascist activism in the area, spoke to radio station Mega News 104.6 from the hospital, where he is being treated for knife wounds to the thigh.
"I told them I didn't think they had come for such a murderous attack. One of them attacked me first. I threw him to the ground. He started shouting to his friend: Give it to him, give it to him, slit his throat," the 32-year-old stated.
According to him, the perpetrator told him explicitly why he had chosen him as a target: "He answered me: you have been left-wing and anti-racist for many years. We know you, we came for you."
The 32-year-old was initially taken to Eleusis Health Centre for first aid and then to Tzaneio Hospital. He also spoke to the Mega channel, showing his injuries, and characterises the attack as "murderous".
The 22-year-old's account and the family's reaction
According to information from Mega, the 22-year-old who turned himself in claims that the 32-year-old struck him first, citing injury to his lower lip. He also contends that he acted in retaliation for an earlier attack he suffered on 29 August from a group led by the current victim.
The 18-year-old, who is believed to have wielded the knife, was wearing a helmet and Panathinaikos insignia at the time of the attack.
The 32-year-old's mother spoke to MEGA: "Since they are fascists they did this, for no other reason since we know what they are. They are murderers with a knife. And in front of his house like that — they have no scruples. They said it themselves what they are."
Police are continuing investigations to locate the 18-year-old perpetrator.
