A police operation on Mykonos led to the arrest of six people and the seizure of significant quantities of narcotic substances.
Mykonos: Six arrests in operation against drug ring
Police forces carried out six arrests on the island of the winds and in Athens, as part of an operation to curb a network that was distributing prohibited substances. Five arrests were made in Mykonos and one in the wider area of the capital.
According to ERTnews, the prosecuting authorities had gathered material on the operation of the group, a fact that led to the targeted operation. During the investigations, approximately three to four kilograms of substances were found and seized, including cocaine, cannabis and MDMA, whilst other items were identified that are being investigated.
The preliminary investigation is ongoing in order to investigate the full scope of the illegal activity.
