A car repair shop in Nea Chalkidona was being used as a point for concealment and distribution of drugs by two men who fell into the hands of the prosecuting authorities. The police operation took place at midday on 18 June, with the participation of officers from the DIAS team and the Agiou Panteleimona Crimes Division.
The two men, aged 49 and 43, had come under the scrutiny of authorities following information that was evaluated. Police searched the workshop premises and found 6.4 kilograms of raw cannabis, along with equipment used in hydroponic cultivation laboratories. Also seized were an electronic precision scale, a flare-launching pistol, and €3,000 in cash.
The arrested men are charged with the distribution of habit-forming substances and illegal possession of weapons. The case file compiled against them was forwarded to the prosecutor.
