A 24-year-old Greek national was arrested for fraud after he and an accomplice obtained money and jewellery from an elderly woman by posing as accountants.

Police officers from the local Epidaurus station apprehended a 24-year-old Greek national in the Nafplio area on a charge of fraud. The preliminary investigation showed that the young man, in collaboration with another unidentified person, approached a woman in a village in the Epidaurus municipality on 13 June 2026.
The perpetrators presented themselves as employees of an accountant who had come to count valuables. Using this false pretext, they managed to take cash and jewellery from the victim.
Police from Epidaurus, with the assistance of the Argolida Crime Prevention and Suppression Unit, undertook the investigation of the case. During the investigation, a vehicle that was used to facilitate the illegal activity was seized.
