A 24-year-old was arrested in Neapolis, Thessaloniki following a complaint that he assaulted his 20-year-old sister. He is also alleged to have struck the girl's dog, which intervened to protect her.

A 24-year-old was arrested in Neapolis, Thessaloniki following a complaint filed on Sunday morning. According to the charges, the young man assaulted his 20-year-old sister with the intention of taking her life.
During the incident, the girl's dog intervened to protect her. The 24-year-old is alleged to have struck the animal as well.
The case is being investigated by the Domestic Violence Response Office of Ampelokipoi–Menemeni. The arrested man faces charges of attempted homicide and attempted killing of a companion animal. He was brought before an investigating magistrate to enter his defence.
