Passers-by spotted a seven-year-old girl alone in the city centre. The 25-year-old father was arrested and is facing charges of endangering a minor.
Father arrested after seven-year-old daughter found unsupervised on Thessaloniki street
On Saturday afternoon, 4 July, citizens in the centre of Thessaloniki spotted a small girl walking without any adult beside her. The minor, aged seven years old, appeared frightened.
Passers-by approached the child and immediately notified the prosecuting authorities. Following the subsequent inspection, it was established that the girl had left her home without any of her parents noticing.
Police officers from the White Tower precinct took up the case and brought in the 25-year-old parent. The man is facing charges of endangering a minor and will be referred to the prosecutor.
