Peristeri: Arrest of 53-year-old with cocaine package weighing over one kilogram
Police officers from the DI.AS. Unit of the Hellenic Police General Directorate of Attica arrested a 53-year-old Greek man in Peristeri, who was in possession of an improvised plastic package containing 1 kilogramme and 135 grammes of cocaine.

On Saturday afternoon, in the Peristeri area, police officers from the DI.AS. Unit, which falls under the Hellenic Police General Directorate of Attica, located a 53-year-old man of Greek nationality. The man was in an underground parking area of a supermarket store and was deemed suspicious by the officers, who asked him to submit to a search.
During the search of his personal items, the authorities discovered an improvised plastic package. Inside it was cocaine, with a total weight of 1 kilogramme and 135 grammes.
A case file was opened against the 53-year-old for violation of the provisions of legislation concerning narcotic substances. The arrested man was initially taken to the Department for the Prosecution and Investigation of Crimes in Peristeri, which operates under the General Directorate of Attica and undertook the preliminary investigation. He was subsequently referred to the competent prosecutor.
At the same time, the authorities identified another person in connection with the case, who is being sought.
