Marches in Keratsini and Thessaloniki mark 13 years since Fyssas murder
Large crowds honoured the memory of Pavlos Fyssas in Keratsini and Thessaloniki, 13 years after his murder by a member of Golden Dawn.

According to newsbeast.gr, large crowds gathered on P. Fyssas Street in Keratsini, at the spot where on 18 September 2013 the artist lost his life to a knife attack by a member of the convicted criminal organisation "Golden Dawn".
Relatives and friends of Fyssas participated in the march that crossed the city's streets, along with people affected by the murder. Several roads in Keratsini were closed to traffic, whilst strong police forces and traffic police were deployed throughout the area for security reasons.
Memorial events had begun on Thursday with a major concert at the Keratsini Fertiliser Plant complex, in which well-known artists participated.
During the mobilisation, demonstrators repeated slogans against the release of Ilias Kasidiaris. "Fascism will not pass in Greece. Golden Dawn was convicted as a criminal organisation. Any other fascist formation means that future criminals are being incubated," said Giannis Mangos upon arriving at the memorial, adding: "Vasilis Mangos present, Pavlos Fyssas present".
It is recalled that Fyssas's murder was the catalyst for the dismantling of Golden Dawn as a criminal organisation, resulting in the arrest and imprisonment of most of its leadership members.
An anti-fascist march was held simultaneously in Thessaloniki. Students, members of collectives and extra-parliamentary left-wing parties, together with people from the anti-authoritarian movement, gathered in Kamaras Square and ended at the Venizelos Monument.
Before the gathering in Thessaloniki, police carried out five detentions, one of which was converted into an arrest, possibly for drugs.
