A 64-year-old shot a 49-year-old relative with a hunting weapon in Epidaurus. The injured man is being treated in an Athens hospital with a risk of losing his sight.

Shooting in Epidaurus over property disputes — two arrests
Two men, a father and son, were brought before judicial authorities in Nafplion on Friday over a violent incident involving gunshots that occurred at midday on Thursday, 1 October in the Municipality of Epidaurus, according to Dikastiko.gr.
The incident occurred in a rural and mountainous location near the chapel of Panagia Chrysospiliotissa. The victim is a 49-year-old man who was seriously wounded by gunshots attributed to his 64-year-old relative.
The course of events
According to information reported by Dikastiko.gr, the attack was triggered by long-standing property and land disputes between the two men. The 49-year-old arrived in the area and, upon spotting him, the 64-year-old reportedly opened fire with a hunting weapon.
The perpetrator initially shot him in the face and then wounded him in the arm and leg. After the shooting, the injured man reportedly called for help.
The 64-year-old called an ambulance before leaving
According to the same information, the 64-year-old transported the injured man to the nearest paved area, notified the ambulance service and subsequently left the area. Later, his 39-year-old son arrived at the location and, according to reports, encountered the wounded man without offering him assistance.
Serious concern for the victim's vision
The 49-year-old initially received medical care in the area, however due to the severity of injuries to his face, particularly regarding his vision condition, he was urgently transferred to a hospital in Athens. Doctors are making efforts to save his sight.
The two accused before court
The 64-year-old and his 39-year-old son were arrested and brought before the judicial authorities in Nafplion. The case is under investigation.
