A man in Rhodes was arrested for breaching conditions imposed on him following a fatal road accident in May.

A 45-year-old man in Rhodes was placed in police custody again. The man is accused of a fatal road accident that occurred last May in the Afantou area, resulting in the deaths of two people, a mother and her child.
Following his initial arrest, the suspect was released by the investigating magistrate with the imposition of restrictive conditions. These included a prohibition on using or operating any motor vehicle.
The authorities established that the 45-year-old did not comply with this particular condition. Accordingly, on 9 June they proceeded with a new arrest. The case remains pending before the judicial authorities.
