The Organised Crime Countermeasures Division of Northern Greece conducted a coordinated operation in Thessaloniki and Mykonos, arresting 17 people for drug trafficking, robberies and assaults.

Early Tuesday morning, officers from the Organised Crime Countermeasures Division of Northern Greece launched a large-scale police operation. The target was a dangerous criminal organisation with a serious criminal record, whose members were operating in Thessaloniki and Mykonos.
According to information, the particular group had developed extensive activity in the field of hard drug trafficking. The perpetrators were also allegedly involved in armed robberies, incidents of physical violence, and acts of widespread property vandalism.
Authorities managed to detain 17 people. It is estimated that 15 of them constituted the inner core and leadership of the criminal structure. During raids on houses and other locations, police officers identified and seized significant quantities of drugs as well as heavy weaponry.
