Police officers from the local precinct on Skopelos have managed to solve ten separate burglary cases that had occurred in the island's area. The investigation led to the identification of a 28-year-old Greek as the primary suspect.
The authorities estimate that the young man was active during the period from July to November 2025, whilst there are indications of recent activity in May 2026. In total, he is alleged to have completed six burglaries and attempted four others without success.
The victims of the break-ins were private residences and small churches. The perpetrator stole money, jewellery and valuable items, including two silver collectible coins. From the homes he also stole electronic equipment and household goods.
During the investigation, police officers discovered eighteen pieces of jewellery in the suspect's possession, including rings, as well as a silver collectible coin. The findings were seized as evidence.
The 28-year-old's arrest took place in late May on the island. It is noted that a conviction was already pending against him from the Single Judge Court of Volos, with a sentence of five months' imprisonment for a similar offence.
Investigations are continuing by the Skopelos Police Department, as the possibility is being examined that the young man may have been involved in other illegal acts in the area.
