Coast Guard dog finds 415g of cocaine on ship in Piraeus
A 31-year-old man was arrested on a passenger ship at Piraeus port with 415g of cocaine. Two military cartridges were also found at his home.

Officers of the Coast Guard arrested a 31-year-old man on board a passenger-vehicle ferry ship at Piraeus port after a trained narcotics detection dog named 'Tóbi' discovered narcotic substances during an inspection, according to newspaper Ta Nea.
In the possession of the suspect was found cocaine packaging in 'rock' form with a total gross weight of 415 grammes, as well as a second package containing 0.5 grammes of cocaine and a mobile phone.
Following the arrest, authorities conducted a search of the 31-year-old's residence in Athens in the presence of a judicial officer. There, two military cartridges with a calibre of 7.62mm were seized.
The suspect faces charges for violation of legislation concerning addictive substances and legislation concerning weapons. The preliminary investigation is being conducted by the Central Port Authority of Piraeus.
The seized quantities of cocaine will be sent to the General Chemical State Laboratory for examination, whilst the cartridges are referred to the Directorate of Criminal Investigation for further analysis.
