19-year-old arrested for shop robberies in Thessaloniki
A 19-year-old has been arrested for two robberies at shops in Ampelokipoi, Thessaloniki, with proceeds of €660.

A young man aged 19 was apprehended by prosecuting authorities following two armed robberies at shops in Ampelokipoi. Police officers in the area located and arrested him.
The first incident occurred on 30 June. The suspect entered a general store with his features concealed. He threatened the employee with a sharp object and took €260 from the till. He then fled the scene.
The authorities located him shortly afterwards in the wider area. During his arrest, the money he had taken was found on him and was returned to the shop owner.
The subsequent investigation revealed that the same man had committed a similar act on 19 June. He had then broken into a pharmacy in the area, threatening with a sharp object and taking €400.
The young man will be brought before the Prosecutor.
