A 30-year-old foreign national was arrested in Mykonos on suspicion of drug trafficking. Cocaine, ketamine and mushrooms were found in his possession, whilst a European arrest warrant issued by Italian authorities was pending against him.

On 3 July 2026, law enforcement in Mykonos arrested a 30-year-old man, a national of another country. The individual faces charges for violation of laws concerning addictive substances, whilst he is also being investigated for breaches related to the lawful entry and residence of foreign nationals in Greek territory.
The case was clarified following systematic processing and assessment of information regarding his activities on the island. The evidence showed that the suspect used his personal vehicle to conduct daily, brief meetings with buyers, handing over packages that resembled small vials of white powder, receiving money in return.
Officers searched his home, a location he used as a hideout, as well as his vehicle. During the searches, the following items were found and seized: 239 small packages of white and pink powder with a total weight of 296.5 grammes, packages of processed cannabis weighing 154 grammes, 37 small vials of ketamine weighing 31.3 grammes, 31 grammes of hallucinogenic mushroom powder, 50 pills, a precision scale, 8,000 euros, 1,160 US dollars and a mobile telephone.
The authorities estimate that the illegal profit he would have obtained from his activities exceeded 45,000 euros. Additionally, a check of police records showed that an international arrest warrant had been issued against him by Italian authorities for the illegal transportation of foreign nationals, whilst there was also a ban on entry and residence issued by German services.
The arrested man was taken before the competent prosecutor, whilst the findings will be sent to the laboratory for further analysis.
