Arrest of 30-year-old in Mykonos for drug trafficking
A 30-year-old man was arrested in Mykonos for drug trafficking. Cocaine, ketamine, cannabis and hallucinogenic mushrooms were found during searches. A European arrest warrant issued by Italy was outstanding against him.

A 30-year-old man, a third-country national, was arrested on Friday, 3 July 2026 in Mykonos by police officers from the local Security Subdivision. The arrested man faces charges of illegal trafficking in psychotropic substances and violation of foreign residence regulations in the country.
The operation was based on the assessment of information concerning the individual's activity on the island. According to the investigative authorities' findings, the 30-year-old conducted daily transactions using his car, delivering packages to customers containing white powder in exchange for payment.
Authorities identified the suspect's residence, as well as a storage point he regularly used. During searches at the house, this location and the vehicle, the following were found and seized:
- Doses of cocaine in small packages
- Ketamine
- Processed cannabis
- Hallucinogenic mushrooms in powder form
- Cash
Officers estimate that illegal proceeds from drug trafficking exceeded €45,000.
Furthermore, it was established that the man was being sought under a European arrest warrant issued by Italian judicial authorities in connection with a case of smuggling. Additionally, a ban on entry and residence in the Schengen area, imposed by German authorities, was in effect against him.
The arrested man was taken before the prosecutor, whilst the substances seized will be examined by the Chemical Service for precise determination of their composition.
