A man aged 30 was arrested in the afternoon at Agia Marina beach in Stylis, in Phthiotis, accused of illegal videotaping and photographing of underage girls as well as adult women who were in the area.
According to reports by Lamiareport.gr, a young woman who noticed the person's activity immediately alerted the authorities. Police officers from Stylis Police Station rushed to the scene and proceeded to arrest the 30-year-old foreign national, who does not reside permanently in the area.
Photographs of women who were around him were found on the suspect's mobile telephone. A full analysis of the device is expected to be completed by the competent Forensic Service, which will examine the contents thoroughly.
The preliminary investigation has been taken over by Stylis Police Station. The 30-year-old remains in custody and is expected to be brought before the District Prosecutor of Lamia on Monday.
