Arrest of 30-year-old in Korydallos for theft of four motorcycles
A 30-year-old was arrested in Korydallos following a pursuit by the DI.AS. unit and was identified as the perpetrator of four motorcycle thefts in Aiyaleo.

Pursuit in Korydallos: 30-year-old behind series of motorcycle thefts
According to Ta Nea, a 30-year-old was arrested in Korydallos on Friday, 11 September, following a pursuit carried out by police officers of the DI.AS. unit.
The incident began in the afternoon, when police officers spotted a suspicious motorcycle in Kaminia and called on the driver to stop for inspection. The 30-year-old attempted to flee, but was immobilised in the Korydallos area and taken to the Crime Investigation and Detection Department of Aiyaleo.
During the preliminary investigation, he was identified as the perpetrator of four motorcycle thefts committed over the past month in Aiyaleo. According to the investigation findings, he would bypass the vehicle wiring and put them into operation without using keys.
A case file was opened against him by the Crime Investigation and Detection Department of Aiyaleo (D.D.E.E.A./G.A.D.A.) for aggravated theft as a trade and as a continuation of offences, as well as for disobedience. The arrested man has engaged the authorities in the past for similar offences. He was brought before the competent prosecutor.
